Mondy Carter and Karen Stobbe from Reasonably Priced Babies present:
Where Are You?  $15

Where are you? It's one thing to be a pirate, it's another to be a pirate on a bus. You could be king of England but your king will be different if he is in a treehouse. The where of the scene is an often overlooked and under utilized aspect to improv. Even if the environment is not contrary to the character the where is a reservoir of potential.
The where of a scene is the unsung hero of keeping a world together. How you show and feel the world you make informs the audience, your fellow players and yourself in subtle and profound ways. We will show you how to establish and use the where to keep the ground solid beneath your feet.

Mondy Carter & Karen Stobbe

11:30am - 12pm

 Lunch Break!

12pm - 1:30pm

Dread Not, Block Not  $15

Opening up the landscape of your brain and being comfortable with the harvest. Learning to go to the dark places of your mind, and accepting the results.

Dr. Paul Simmons has been with Einstein Simplified since day one. His enthusiasm and drive has resulted in his being labeled the "Heart and Soul" of the troupe. Computer guru by day and comedian by night he has enjoyed being able to grow his comedy skills by teaching several courses in comedy and improv over the years. Quiet and reserved until he takes the stage or you get to know him, he is always ready to entertain and make others laugh.

1:45pm - 3:15pm

Mouthing Off  $15

A new improv puppeteering workshop from Sam Locke, puppeteer with the Annoyance Theatre, and director/co-creator of the “Weirdos” puppet shows at the Annoyance Theater.
The workshop is open to children 8-years-old and up and adults who want to learn how to operate puppets, and the basics of lip-syncing with their own improvised dialogue. Each budding puppeteer will leave the workshop with “ping pong eyes” so they can practice mouthing skills.

3:30pm - 5pm

Keeping N'Sync with your team -- The Boy Band Way of Thinking - How to find individual strengths of each of your members.  $15

The Missing Child's Missy Whitis offers a teamwork oriented workshop. Keeping in mind that not everyone should be held responsible to do everything will make for a more balanced team—be it in the workplace or in and improv troupe. What kind of improviser are you? Not everyone is built to start the scene. Are you support? A realist? The character person? You can't all be the lead singer! Let's find out what role you play! It's okay if you aren't always in the scene. Find your role and play it to the best of your ability. By thinking like a boy band you see that everyone's talent is different and should be celebrated as such. Every boy band has a “rebel” and a “shy one”. They wouldn't be a team without them. So which one are you?

Missy Whitis has worked with Hershey, GE Aviation, P&G, Wells-Fargo, Vera Bradley, the Educational Theatre Association, the Kentucky Association of School Administrators, University of Cincinnati, Ronald McDonald House, Luxottica, and Bank of Kentucky, just to name a few.  She is often asked to work with companies on communication and innovation in the workplace and she does it by using the basics of improvisation.  Missy has been lucky enough to study at the renown SAK Comedy Lab, and under Paul Sills, one of the creators of The Second City. In 2011, Missy was ranked in the top 2% of “The Most Influential People on the Web”, by Fast Company Magazine.
