Don’t Break Up, Get Engaged - Paul Simmons, Einstein Simplified
Everybody knows when you start to lose an audience, so, how do you get them back and keep them engaged? This workshop will focus on how not to lose an audience, and how to get them back when you do. Entertainment is a social contract between you and the audience, you are entertaining them and allowing them to escape from everyday concerns, while also bringing yourself joy. Learn how to build, and share the joy in this workshop.
Paul Simmons is a founding member of Einstein Simplified, Knoxville’s premiere comedy improv troupe. He has performed a weekly show for 23 years, as well as teaching improv for 17. He has been in several independent films, local commercials, and multiple festivals. From beginning improv, through corporate training Paul has taught at all levels. From the start, it has been about fun and comedy through improv for him: feeding his soul, while entertaining the masses.
Everyone can sing! There is no failure with music! - Lacie Madison, The Nashville Improv Co.
Music - the final frontier. Audiences adore shows featuring songs, performers want to sing, so why do we shy away from this exciting style of improv? Rhyming made simple, finding the key to your inner singer and games and styles you can bring to your team. No musical director? No problem! Using tracks that you too can acquire (Thanks Laura Hall!), Lacie will help you overcome your fears and discover that improv is alive with the sound of music.
*This class is for performers with previous improv experience.*
Lacie Madison is the Director, Head Instructor and performer for Nashville Improv. She has spent her life on the stage as a musician, improviser & actor. Directing full-length musicals by the age of 17, she teaches skill building improv to Fortune 500 companies, local theater teams, and you! Her teaching style melds no nonsense coaching and no fear stagework into a positive and empowering experience.

You are there to perform, so let's give the audience a show they will not forget. You will leave this course with practical things you can do to play at a performance based level and have audience wanting more.
Yoshee Sodiq is a cool dad, comedian and consultant who has been performing on stage for the past couple of years. Yoshee is a trained improviser, stand-up comedian and sketch writer.
